David Ira Ainsman, Retired Founder

David I. Ainsman, now retired, co-founded our firm along with Partner Richard Levine in 1993 and served as the firm’s President until retiring in 2022. Throughout his career, he practiced in a number of areas to meet the needs of clients in the Pittsburgh area, including civil litigation and appeals, legal malpractice, business and commercial law, and many more. Now, our firm practices primarily in the field of personal injury law.

Mr. Ainsman graduated cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh before obtaining his Juris Doctor from Temple University School of Law in 1977. He was admitted to the Pennsylvania State Bar in 1977 and earned admission to the U.S. Federal Courts Bar and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania in the same year.

Volunteering his legal skills to the local community in Pittsburgh, Mr. Levine previously served as a board member of the Hunger Services Network and as a board member of PLEA. He was also a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association and the Pennsylvania Bar Association. Devoted to sharing his knowledge and experience, Mr. Levine has led seminars on uninsured/underinsured motorist law. He was also an adjunct faculty member for the Pitt Law School Mock Trial Course at the University of Pittsburgh.
